Slic3r

Silc3r ist ein Slicer-Programm/Toolchain basierend auf Perl und C++. Es wandelt STL-Dateien in den GCode(ENG:Wikipedia-Link) um, der die nötigen Informationen für den 3D-Drucker enthält um das Objekt zu drucken.
Der Vorteil dieses Programms ist die, verglichen mit Skeinforge, einfache Bedienung. Man erhält schneller bessere Ergebnisse als in Skeinforge, hat dafür aber wesentlich weniger Einstellungsmöglichkeiten!
